Question for you: When you are steering into a corner you want to push forward on the bar in the direction you want to go. So, you push right to go right and left to go left. Now, do you need to hold that bar pressure all the way through the corner or do you push the bar and then release the pressure when the bike gets to the lean angle you want?
Not sure but I don’t think I ever push my handle bars the way I want to go. Maybe I do, but sat in my chair now, I push the opposite way I want to go.
Now I don’t know how I even get round a corner !

What happens if you ride in a straight line 25-30mph and push on the left handlebar? Which direction will the bike go?
I think you guys are saying the same thing just differently :-) Misti has informed us all of her incredible training which she is wiling to offer, way cool (THANKS). I think that's worth nurturing! I crashed last year September 3rd. No memory at all. I took out my right side. Clavicle, 4 ribs, mildish head injury LOL. I so value the input. I'm getting so much better but at 47 with my son Matt beside me (he drove the CBR954 for the first time last night :-) ) I'm a terrible example! Too fast...........................................
Thanks guys, it sounds to me like you're both on it :-)

Meaning you can't believe that the bike actually turns that way or you can't believe that you don't exactly know how to get the bike turned when asked.
. (and don't worry, most of our students aren't totally sure how they steer the bike when we put them on the spot and ask them directly). When I was a student at CSS way back when (2003) I did the steering drill and they asked me the same question and I was like, "I have no idea, I just lean and the bike turns!" hahahah
Cool, I'm happy to talk about riding tech any chance I can so please, if you have questions, fire away!! Sorry about your crash, that sounds like it was very nasty! Do you know what happened or what caused the crash? Highside, low side, under braking, under acceleration? Just curious if you've been able to sort anything out. It's always a good idea to really try and investigate any crashes to see if you can understand why you crashed and what to do about it! Anyway, I'm here if you have any topics you want to discuss
Cheers!
