Convert CBR to classic 70s CB?

that’s amazing, where are you located? I did find a lovely cb100, incomplete barn find restoration but the Owner wanted way too much for it.
These are lovely period bikes and probably the iconic motorcycle throughout Asia as well as having been very popular in the West at the time. It offers subtle classic styling, along with decent power to weight ratio and is a very reliable commuter.
I have done some more digging and discovered that the cb125 has become popular for cafe racer/mod projects. Cb100 just seems be rare. It was rebadged as the cd100 in india, becoming it's most popular motorcycle in the 80s-2000s and there's a modern cbf125 still sold in some emerging markets.. with engines designed for lower maintenance.

Nice video BTW. Good analysis.

More research suggests that people have been promoting the cb100 as a vintage collectible, pushing up the price and taking stock off the road. I don't know how influential Kaplan Cycles is but they've sold several of these in the past 5 years. Canada is a different market but they tend to follow US trends. What's a pity is that once collected, they would rarely be driven.
The 125 isn't yet a collectible so may be a better bet. You may want to consider picking one up if it's going cheap!
