Having said that, I wouldn't put fairings on any bike I intended to ride on the street either.

And, it's harder to keep the front end down (extremely hard). Plus, they will probably hit the fairings because they're so tall. You'll have to modify them. Or you could probably modify the brake reservoir or run a 600rr M/C. Maybe that would clear it...

I would never buy the LSL kit. It's way too expensive to even consider. I ran those freestyle ingenuity risers - they'e fine. Of course, some of the paint will rub off and it's steel - so it could/will rust.

You can find my fighter thread on here. On the first page, you can see what they look like on there.

Overall - I wouldn't run dirty bars on your bike.

Thanks. I am leaving the fairings on. I'll definetely have to take some of, if not most of, the windscreen off, though. I still have to do more research to find out how much and what it will look like once done. I saw your 54 and it turned out veryl nice!!. I think the 29 has less to remove in order to run dirtbike bars, though. So I'm hoping to get away with keeping it fairly stock looking just with the added comfort of a more upright ride. Now, if I could only find a single sided swingarm............

f2fighter600I wouldn't change a thing on your bike man.

pmcvey16That bike is beautiful. Leave it alone lol
Thanks. My bike is switching roles. From an occasional thrill ride to a full fledged commuter. I don't plan on changing anything other than the handlebars and windscreen, though. Also, I'm hoping I don't have to take too much of the screen away. The idea is to make it more comfortable for touring. In fact, I wasn't planning on keeping it at all. I have had it on Craigslist for over 2 months at $3700 and, so far, not one person has come to look at it. The idea was to sell it and buy something I can comfortably commute on like a Vstrom or standard, maybe even a cruiser. However, since it isn't garnering any attention, and it's worth more to me than any lower price, i'll be using it to commute on. Could be worse, right?

How in the hell has no one come to look at that????

Your bike is sexy as hell. And it's not like you're asking an obscene amount of money for it either.

Well, like I said, you can do it for much cheaper than the LSL kit

In fact, I didn't originally think of this, but check this out

Top Triple Tree F4 / F4i 929 / 954 - $235.00 : HoHey Designs, Custom and Factory Parts for stunt bikes

Tag Metal Risers 1 1/8” +5mm - $69.99 : HoHey Designs, Custom and Factory Parts for stunt bikes

And then you can get any 1 1/8 fat bar out there.

This is a cool set up. Because, A) You can get a fat bar that will look good (and you can get any style you want. B) You can still run clip-ons with that triple tree if you ever wanted to switch back (say you had a trip planned to some twisties or wanted to do a track day). C) It looks WAY BETTER than that LSL kit, plus it's cheaper.

Or you could run 7/8 bars with the TAG risers and the bars would be cheaper (you could still pick any one you want so long as it's 7/8)

Thanks. I think it's a great looking bike too. I bet the 32k miles on it are what's keeping people away, though. The way I saw it, I figured these Honda's are good for 100k miles as long as you keep fresh oil in them and don't race the **** out of the motor. Am I wrong in thinking that? Anyways, once I get some things figured out, it will most likely be the Hoheys with some 1 1/8" RC Highs, new clutch, throttle, and brake lines. Then, I'll be redoing the seat for a more level and plush surface. Finally, maybe some lower footpegs and saddlebags and she will be done. I reckon it should be every bit as capable and comfortable as a Vstrom with the added bonus of twice the power.
