I have no problems getting it up around my home town. Like I say, when I get up in elevation, it really takes quite a bit of power way. I have had it up to about 9K and wow... HUGE power loss.

Where are you (elevation)?

If you find yourselfregularly traveling into these areas, a Power Commander is not only a cool gadget, but it would become a very practical accessory. Look into it.

Yeah the R1 is definitely a proven machine. What's up with your signature?

My town is about 4700 but the rocky mts are about twenty min from my house. It is bad ***! (other then the loss of power). I think that the only vehicles I have been in that dont seem to be effected by altitude are turbo'd. My good buddy took his gsxr 1K down to Florida from here. He basically told me he messed his pants because the bike ran that much better. Keeping the front end down was actually a problem.

Power Commander.
So, good news! I went on Dynojet's site and while looking at the cool gadgets AKA PowerCommanderI found nothing that said it will compensate for altitude. Funny thing is, I have a PC and it is tuned...You must not understand the concept of elevation and power loss at 823ft above sea level. You should do yourself a favor and ride at a high altitude before givin me **** about this. [sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]

No ones giving you ****. I simply made a suggestion, with everything you posted how the **** am I to know what you have/haven't tried?

I'm very well aware that in high-altitude environments there is less oxygen to go around. That means you're running rich on fuel, lean on oxygen no matter what. If a PC and a gawddamn remap can't help you then I don't know what to tell you.

Sell your bike.

It should be noted that any internal combustion engine will run optimally in an oxygen-rich environment. Even with changes, your engine will never run in the mountains like it would in Florida.

Also, if you have a PC and you tuned it while in your garage it's certainly not gonna be the same map for mountain twisties, now is it?

That is all.
