but that is not the point here ... I just wanted to show you guys the difference between summer and winter at the Pass here.

In the video I ride past the Ponderosa Cafe which is on my right ... as I ride past notice the number of bikers all parked in the car park and sitting on the grass enjoying the hot HOT sun that day!!

The Ponderosa is very popular in our spring/summer months for bikers to meet and chill, great food and cheap as chips too :-)


Sorry about the quality too, it's an early video and I kept the camera low as there were so many bikers around and didn't want to attract attention ... also it was in the days before I had worked out how to get rid of wind noise and I hadn't even cleaned my screen of bugs ... I was very unprofessional I know ..lol

Now check out The Ponderosa just last week I took this ... unbelievable difference,

it now looks like one of those research stations out in the Antarctic!!

 

Wow what a difference in climate change.In order for me to see snow I'd have to ride about 45 min.towards Yosemite National Park.

Maybe you should be taking up cross-country skiing Jules! Looks like you've got some great terrain for it.
