Default CBRForum web server/hosting is awful

This site lags and hangs all the time. I've noticed it on more than one computer. Just thought I'd gripe.

This and Speedtv.com are the two slowest websites I visit - Ironically - Speed TV is the slowest website I go to!!!!!

You're not the only one to have noticed.
I've been getting some really weird things happen lately like going to a thread page and having the top menu bar disappear. Can't select new posts or any of the other user options. Don't know what's going on but I think someone needs to wind the spring up a bit.
Logging in and out has sometimes become hit and miss too.
Any explanations MODS?

my problems are that some days or just randomly itll take FOREVER to load a page or itll tell me its unavailable and ill have to keep refreshing till the page finally loads. terrible hosting or maybe the servers are just starting to get overloaded and they need to do some upgrading. It seems to be during hours where there should be a high amount of traffic and a lot of users on too so that seems to be the problem.

I use FF both at work (v4) and at home (v3.6). And I see problems in the morning and evening.

yeah +1 on it slowing. Its Trout's fault. Feel free to PM blast him to death about it.

And tell him congrats on his newborn while you guys are at it

Seems to have gotten worse since the mobile version of the site went active. Happens a lot to me during the business day. But, as I type this there's 78 signed in users and 619 guests browsing the forums.

FF 3.6 and 4.0.1, Chrome(running dev build), IE8 and 9.

All same issue. Every time I try to open more than 3 threads at once everything stops working. I've got 7 down at home, 3 down at the office, and 25 down at school. Definitely not a bandwith issue.

Hahaha .... can't blame the place for having lots of good info to be had ...

I browse on my mac with Safari .... it's slow on here too sometimes ... and other times some menu's will be there and disappear at other times .... another thing that happens, is when I try to post up a reply it'll freeze for a min or two and when it loads it will have posted my response twice and tried a third time ... leading me to that "This is a duplicate post" screen ...
