Hi Lazlo,

Welcome a board!!! there are many reasons of a faulty handling, I will let the expert guys to come of with some details but going to the basics you could start by checking the proper air pressure on both tires, also check for a bend or dent on the rim, make sure your bar's oil has been recently checked and/or changed, si if the pipe joint between the chassis and handle bars has some movement.

Funny thing is that you notice this when doing only 20 mph!!

Cheers!!

thanks... i'll check all that....seems a shame as the bike is soooo comfy, lovely pull through the gears but the vibes eventually make you stop, killing what would be a good ride..

oh top of that are your wheels balanced? I ended up losing a couple tyre weights on mine and started feeling a vibration... also it maybe be yout balancer shaft needs adjusted, and hate to say maybe main bearings? but since you named it off at a specific speed and not just idle+ i put my money on something to do with you wheels/tyres

At a guess, I'd say possibly wheel bearings, or front end related, like an out of round front tyre. The balancer shaft will come in at higher revs I think, so check the front end - could even be a loose axle or a brake disc ! Hard to tell - sorry I can't be more specific.
What work have you done to the bike recently that could have caused the vibration ?

These bikes are about the smoothest things to ride.

The first step is to put it up on the center stand and run the engine to check for vibrations.
If there are none, run the bike up through the gears while still on the center stand. You may have frozen chain links.
These steps take the front end out of the equation and determine if the problem is engine or rearward related.

Please let us know what you find out (smooth/vibrating).
