Default Target fixation

Video from my friends crash, he had a passenger on his bike and when the guy on the yellow crashed in front of him he target fixated and tried to stop and lost his front tire on the gravel. Guy on yellow got a broken leg and some other minor damage. My friend and his passenger were able to walk away with minor rash and lots of bruises both bikes were totaled.

Please use gear when you ride.

Not 100% sure, he did low sided. Probably a combo of speed, body position, could have caught a peg, maybe blipped the throttle or the break. I’ve ridden this road numerous time and the corner is very deceptive its much sharper than it looks on the entry and its almost entirely blind through it.

Yea the only thing I could really make out from the vid was his rear tire sliding out. How fast were you guys going?

Yea of course they were going the recommended 30 mph from the sign indicating they were approaching 2 right angle turns.

I have no clue how fast the yellow bike was going when it went down. As for my friend he managed to scrub off quite a bit of speed before he hit the gravel and they separated from the bike they were probably going around 25 or 30 MPH.
