holy sh*t. He was deff going way to fast for that congested of an area but still why do ****in cagers always feel the need to turn left in front of us??

I will defend the van, that bike was screaming.

 

I remember seeing a video of an oncoming train doing about 80 mph. At a distance you really don't know how fast the train is closing in on you until it was pretty close (can't quote actual distance). Now that was a frick'n train. What makes you think that a bike is any easier to detect?

 

agreed but he still turned into the lane like a retarded slug, if your going to commit to a turn then dont do it halfass, thats how accidents to happen. it might have saved the riders life this time but more often than not thats how shet gets messy.

I totally agree about making turns totally 1/2 a$$!! I see it all the time around here (DC metro area)... people don*t know if they want to go left, right, or straight and then cause an accident because of their indecisiveness. The freeways are the worst!!!! People try think that merging speed is 20 or so miles/hour and then can*t make up their mind whether to speed up, stop, or merg.

 

i dont like the van turning in front of him anymore than the rest of you, but when a bike is doing 3x the speed limit you cant always assume the cager is going to know how long it will take you to reach them. they *should* be watching no matter what and say, hey, that guy is hauling ***, let me wait a second. for all we know there is a blind turn around the other way and the van couldnt see around it, began the turn and his reaction probably saved the riders life. at any rate, he did it to himself and hopefully knows better now. hope he was ok.
