Not quite sure what the best method for learning how to wheelie is, but I can tell you that the best method for starving your top end for oil is well represented in this video. Anytime you wheelie for longer than like 10-15 seconds, the oil is sloshed away from the pickup in the oil pan. No oil to pickup = low oil pressure = not enough oil to all important cams/crank/rods...think about it.
Many stunters over fill their oil for that very reason...

that or we get different oil pickups for that reason...

why would you hope for a crash? you have the mentallity of a two year old.
