Is the whole peg assembly aftermarket?

From what I can tell they're not LED strips..

I like!

nope stock 600RR pass pegs. I drilled and installed the LEDS myself. Last year I bought a bulk pack of LEDs in various colors along with getting the resistors. A lil time, patience, a drill, wire, LEDs, 1 resistor per series, soldering iron, shrink wrap, and wala lol.

Very nice mod!

I don't take passengers often at all, but do you worry about the integrity of the pegs? They're just cast aluminum to begin with, aren't they?

oznium.com, flexible LED strips... mark off every 3/8 inch, drill a 1/4 inch hole at each mark. no soldering, no resistors, super simple wiring. can even integrate brake and blinker into it, 6 holes, 3 LEDs each color.

Very cool, I might have to do this or some variation myself!

The Knight Rider marker light on rellimdekim's link has been added to my wish list too, would look perfect on my all black bike, too bad like nobody in Korea would get the joke.
