Gas prices kept creeping higher and higher as I got further West. Started around $3.35 for 87 and went as high as $5.50!!!!!
Weirdest thing was some stations out west had 86/88/90 octane. WTF's UP WIT DAT???
I've never gotten great mileage but yeah it was better on this trip, I think highest I managed was to get 160 miles out of one tank whereas I usually manage around 140. I think I averaged around 35 mpg. I didn't keep track to the penny but I'll try and add it up and get back to you on what I spent total on gas.
Yeah, finally just got back ... and I'm already ready to go riding so let me know when you want to get a ride together .. short mountain trip or otherwise.
Sad to leave but a quick sunset shot upon departure:

btw, hoover wasn't as big as I thought it would be but impressive nonetheless

Wow, I'd love to do that one day. If you dont mind my asking... how much were fuel expenses for the trip? (And did you figure out your gas mileage? I'd guess it was about as good as it would ever get...)
