Now THAT is a HOT bike in my books! Love pretty much everything about it. Probly will never ever afford one though as I kinda like to live indoors in a nice house but hey, dreaming`s free right?

I demoed the V-max with 197hp last summer. I hate to say it but it was to much for regular roadwork. I do like the ease of cleaning on the Lotus.

As for the above Kz1000, if you don't have a dry clutch, put a window on the wet one...love it!

The KZ actually has a bandit 1200 engine in it, that has some work done to it.

And too much power?????

And though it wasn't a new vmax, I'll always remember this old fat guy embarrassing me on the Buell with his Vmax... Those bikes are absolute brawlers.

What else did you think about it? Did it feel as big as it looks?

If it wasn`t for the "cult" following on the V-max jacking used prices sky high as well as the insurance costs all the way to ludicrous, and the tiny tank, I could well see myself on one of those. Heavily modified of course... Oh well, might just have to come up with my own version using an another platform

Not much rake and low CG so it felt shorter than it is. Huge back tire. I demoed at Killington, VT on a road that was posted 45mph. The demo guy was going 55mph. In top gear, simply trying to take it off the throttle stop had me shoot instantly to 70mph in the 45. You can't go slow. In the tight slow turns in the hills I actually went up in gears to lug the engine rather that drop down due to fear of hitting a rough spot and cracking the throttle and spinning the rear wheel. You can't take a hand off the bars, you need both.

The big thing was the on-off-on-off-on-off throttle thing.

I would love to see that engine in a Goldwing. Fully loaded, two up passing would be a breeze compared to the 100hp+ 900lb monster. I think the extra weight of the wing would tame the beast.
