Default I finally decided on a bike...

It's an '02. I was kind of banking on getting a newer bike this time around, but this one just kinda fell into my lap. I basically set out with a list of 5 or so bikes that I didn't discriminate against at all, leftover cbr600/1krr, gsxr750, SP2 RC51, sv650. At least I've finally got my *** on a fuel injected bike... a fuel injected bike that has a choke for some reason. Now I just need to get an American riding license.

Anyways, it's not a CBR, but I hope you guys will still let me hang out on this neat forum you got here.

Your gonna like the RC-51 probably better than a CBR. Plus its cheaper on insurance. Nice bike from what we can see though.

Yeah, liability on this bike alone is $300 for 6 months. That blew my mind. Of course, I'll be getting comp/collision, but I thought liability alone would put me in the $1k+ area.

For Jersey, the quote I got was surprisingly cheap. One day I'll get an out-of-state address or something so I can keep it down.

Congrats Ray! Welcome to the RC51 club!

I liken it to a P51 Mustang... Its unique & will never go outta style. Its just such a classic.

Gas mileage is poor but the RC51 was never meant to be a commuter bike. Compared to your R1, you'll notice it in your wallet. However, the joys of the ride usually outweigh the cost of fuel.

I posted this on here b/f somewhere. Here's mine...
