from what i understand if you use aftermarket headers/mid pipe its enough back pressure to run with out burning up your ex. valves... im running mine from my mid pipe because my exhaust fell off mid wheelie... LOL

 

dunno, sounds nice and all, but in reality, you don't wanna **** off your neighbors if they're friends and all. I put an arrow on my bike, nice look, a bump above stock, has a nice sound to it but doesn't scream at you. everyones happy. Sure I'd like a straight pipe, but I realize that I'd be a magnet for cops and be that ******* that lives next door/down the street.I'm alittle bit pastthat nonsense.

 

IMO the louder the better that way cagers can hear me.

Well call me a ricer noob POS because anything I do isn't going to be for speed...my bike goes 150 mph if need beand thats fast enough for me.

 

Didn't mean for my comment to come off as offensive, but this is the way I think of it................

I have to go to work everyday at 7 am (and so do a LOT of other people). If a Harley/Sportbike/Car always kept waking me up with an unnessesary louder than f**k exhaust, I would be pissed off too, and probably end up calling the cops to file a noise complaint.

It's the same as people blasting their stereos at 3 am in their car. It's just disrespectful and pisses people off (which isn't a good thing). People are already pissed off at bikers enough. I don't want to add another thing onto that list.

**(and cagers really won't hear your bike (even if it is louder than f**k) until you pass them.) Exhaust is on the back, and that's where the noise is usually directed.

yea...doppler effect(sorta)...plus the hole on the exhaust is on the back...lol

 

i always thought of shooting my exhaust forward...[sm=shades.gif]

 

yeah you really can't hear it all that well from the front unless you have a super loud intake
