it is sad that no matter what you do, and it seems like he did the right thing and put it down to low slide, it will not save you from getting hurt because of drivers that are unaware of us on the road.

people just dont pay attention to the raod anymore. we live in the times of autopilots and people think they have them in their cars. lets stop playing with the radio and the cell phones, eating dressing etc. lets look at the road and the signs.

i nearly got ran off the road and almost got hit because the lady wasnt looking at the sing to see that the road shifts to the right. i shifted with the lane and she came at me from the right going as straight as the arrow. past me and jetted. the next light got her and i just pulled over to her and told her the road shifts. ( she had enough ***** to beep at me after she almost hit me) ( she was on the cell)

stay safe out there people. and good luck.

As a new rider I feel the urge to always wear the proper gear (with the exception of the boots and gloves, which should probably be worn). However I do wonder about him not wearing the headgear. Wearing a helmet could be the difference between life and death, but in his case if he was wearing it do you think he could have ended up paralyzed or dead? Sliding across pavement then body length into the car and a sudden stop bc the helmet got stuck. Head stopping yet the neck and body have the momentum to keep going. Irregardless he is fine and recovering from serious injuries .
