Default Charleston Pike Ride Video

This is my second attempt at putting together a short ride video.
Myself and another guy from the [sm=alien.gif]AFB rode the Hocking Hills area on Columbus Day.

http://media.putfile.com/Charleston-...umbus-Day-Ride

This is a summary of Charleston Pike heading North to SR-52.
Check out my buddy doing the Tippy-toe turnaround at the start.

Watch and listen to the single Hard Left towards the end...I definitely came in to fast for that one.

Then there is the un-expected Right turn on the hill..[sm=yikesomg.gif]..with the blind Left at the end.
that one almost got me too.

Let me know what you think.

**note: I over-turn frequently...
This is an attempt to "make-more-turn-than-is-really-there"

Sounds like I had better practice my riding.
I am obviously not up to par on a few things.

I did make it back from that ride (415 miles in 12 hours) without incident.
I guess I should count myself lucky.
ANy one of those poor shifts could have ended my day.
I am planning to hit highway 22 and highway 10 in Kentucky before Winter really sets in around here.

I would really like to see some ride video from any of you all.
There are lots of posts in this forum, but few of original material.

Especially kryptonite_cycle...

Its amazing what you can tell about a persons riding skills from 7 shifts.

BiziB: So what do you really think?
I had a little trouble figuring out that last post.

Thanks fo the input so far...
Keep it coming...

im noticing the same thing in this one as in the last one.. but you did improve a tad bit.. you are still having to correct your self in the middle of the corner! look beyond 20 feet in front of you when your in a corner. if you can see the end of the corner make sure you study it before entering it. i think you will be much happier. and as for shifting up and down those guys above me were 100% CORRECT! you should match the engine speed with how fast the rear tire is spining before you let the clutch out and there for it will not jolt at all. it wil be nice and smoth, and you will be able to down shift/up shift while you are in a corner. now, go back out and make another video!

Thanks.
That is the kind of feedbcak that can actually help a guy.
This one was made from the same ride as the last one.
I will have to go out and film some smooth riding so that I dont look loke a total NOOB.

Thanks so far.

hahaha hey man, you gota start some were! keep ridin! you did get better from the last one. and there is no need to keep the RPM's at 6,000 when your in a corner if your not racing.. your just wasting gas....... + its esier to keep a line in a corner when your at low rpm's because its not in the power curve..

Three things

1) I didn't really see anything wrong with your shifting except the very end coming to the stop sign. Can anyone enlighten me so I can understand?

2) Looks like a fun place to ride! =)

3) Does anyone else hear a high pitched buzzing sound when he seems to be around 6k rpm's? Or do you hear it yourself if you just rev the engine to 6kish? I have the same noise on mine and now I'm beginning to think I'm not the only one. I posted a video and maybe 1/2 the people heard it on my video and someone posted to take the tank cover off and see if it still happens and that didn't help. =( It's just really annoying and getting louder and my shop will not fix it they just say they can't find anything wrong. Just wondering if you knew what it was or if I was just hearing things on your video. I noticed it most during the last 1/4 of it.
