booooo!!!!!

a track car is supposed to be gruff, muscular and lightweight...nothing that the GTR has makes it any bit of a racecar except it's nifty computer systems make it go fast round at track. People think the GTR is the freaking second coming of Christ.

GTR weighs more than 2 tons, it has a regular 350Z V6 engine that Nissan haphazardly slapped 2 turbos on (with an exhaust note that is every bit as obnoxious as the 350z) and ONLY comes in an automatic.

I will admit the Z06 is showing it's age, but it's a car that came right off the showroom floor 4 years ago ready to decimate the competition. And for under 50K for a nice used C6 Z06, I'm just waiting for the most motivated seller to add one to my garage.

I was hoping that's what it was. They are both great cars just not remotely the same thing.

I'm a ford guy but I'd take the vette....

Although the gtr would be a fun winter ride (although ride height might limit things.)

I get pretty irritated when people try to compare a mustang to a corvette...

For sure. I can respect any car though. I am primarily a ford guy but I don't hate! I wish ford made something in the form of a sedan that I'd want to drive! I'd love a terminator or really either 99/01 but the lack of 4 doors sucks. I want a cts v for the fact that it has 4 doors and would still put a smile on my face...I'll have to wait and see! I want to get back on a bike so I'll have to see where this takes me.

Vette's are truly in a league of their own. When people compare them it really (imo) says something about the stang because it only compares to the camaro/firebird arena not a full blown 2 seat sportscar. When someone feels threatened by a $34k supercharged terminator to a $50k+ car says a lot.

I love vids like this because it puts things in perspective.

As for the GTR, sure it's a pig, but I gotta hand it to Nissan for making a 3800lb car handle like a supercar. Sure it's due to fancy electronics, but that's technological advancement in my books, whether it's mechanical or computerized, or a mixture of both... the end result is what counts!

bike = fun
GTR = ugly
That car would be fun too. Considering it held its own against a bike, I give the GTR some credit for that. There is no other car under $100grand that would keep up with a bike, especially no $70k car.
A ZO6 would do well against a bike especially on that track. and its about 75k
