OHIO Riding...?
Dammit, I forgot all about this f**king post, sorry guys, lol. Chris, Don, nice to see you guys. Chris...I too have a Clear Alternatives tailight. Love it...just remember, if you get one, USE RESISTORS! Just my personal opinion. If you don't, the turn signals in the tailight will flash really fast. Some people like that, I personally don't. Most lights come with resistors, to slow the blinking rate down, closer to the factory blinking rate. If you do use the resistors, COVER THEM UP with some heat resistant tape, "material" tape...something. If you do use the resistors and you don't wrap them in something, they'll get so hot that they could melt right through your tail section, or wherever you have them.
well i'm kinda late on this post but oh well, i see that you're from columbus, so if you would want to ride down to like chillicothe theres some goods roads there and theres a couple of roads out by my area (Jackson, Waverly, Portsmouth).theres one up by lake white, thats pretty fun, and theres 772 which isfun (Don rode on 772 with me),so if you wanna ride or meet up with me and some friends andall go to a bike night or something just let me know.
Columbus here also.
I live north of campus.
I usually ride south on High St. thru Campus/ Downtown and Arena district
Then jump on 33 West and head out of downtown along the river.
Stay on 33 west past UA, Dublin and stay on RiversideDr.head north past the zoo
(Watch out for roadkill at night, lots of critters)
Stay along the river all the way to42then west to Plain City then 161 back into Columbus.
OK riding around Alum Creek and Hoover Resevoirs also.
For the most part like BASH mentioned the terrain inOhio is pretty boring, mostly farm land.
I'm definatly wanting to ride down south like jared05 mentioned.Count me in.
Was down thru Deals Gap earlier this week (inmy cage).
Had business in Alabama and took a slight detour on the way back.
That isdefinatly in the plans for a trip on my bike.
Honda Hoot is comin up also in June.
Lets all hook up!

Yeah, I've always wanted to go to the Hoot. Jared and I've been talking about going down to the Dragon this Summer. I think that it'd be pretty cool if we can get a few of us togather and go down to Hocking Hills for a weekend and like camp out and go rafting or something. This weather's killing me, but, if you think about it, it's March, seems like is was Christmas just yesterday, the season will be here before we know it. I wish they made a medicine for riding withdrawls!
GT...it's never too late! lol, hell, we still have a month or so to go, hopefully. I used to ride to Springfield all of the time to Comp. Acc's. Heard it burnt down though, and the owner's under investigation. Anyways, yeah, the more people that we can get togather, the better.
Everything that I heard about Comp Acc's, came from a Honda Reg Rep and from someone in the sales industry who always has the "inside info". From what they told me, their sales there weren't doing to well. Yeah, it's like Iron Pony, but with motorcycles, ATV's, and all kinds of other stuff, the place was huge, had everything you could possible want for your toy, BUT, in the last 5 years, sales dropped dramatically. Well, it was said that the owner paid someone off to start that fire, so, he could collect the insurance money, rebuild, and still pocket 6-7 figures. I could see where that'd be true. And coming from the people I heard it from, that made me believe it even more.
