Default Another long trip qeustion (backache)

Ok, Well i'm going on a 470miles trip in one day (about 6 hours and 40 minutes on google map they say) but I figure I want the most comfortable ride I can get. So i'm going to get a Camel Pack and now i'm wondering about my back..

I looked through the Dennis Kirk catalog and saw this - http://www.forward.gr/snow/ufo.htm. had to look for it on the net to find some pictures but does anyone know if there is any back supports for crotch-rockets? I try to lay on my tank as much as possible but it's either my neck or my back that will go out (if not laying on the tank - it's my back. If i'm laying on the thank - then my neck hurts from acting like the rocketier) if you got any good reviews/referrals or advise - please let me know.. thanks

I'm not experienced, but what about weight belt used by powerlifters/bodybuilders for lower back support. May be worth a shot if you lift and have one around.

I've been strengthening my neck muscles, in preparation. Figure asprin for the back, etc,. As long as the pain doesn't distract from ability to ride safe, I plan on just gritting my teeth. An elastic bandage, or back support, or even a hot water bottle are good ideas if you know an area is susceptible to distracting pain. Godspeed and safe blessings. Pax, G.

Doans works good for me.
As far as "back supports for crotch rockets" there are back protectors and body armor for protection during crashes.
Not shure how effective they are assupport while riding.

btw where are you headed?
Good luck and be safe!!!
