Default 2 day trip across korea and back

A bit late for the write up but I finally have time to post it. This October 3rdme and 4 other riders tooka trip from nearly the east coast to the west coast of the Korean penninsula, from Iksan to Uljin. Wehad a 3 day weekend due to aholiday so we left on Friday morningaround 10:00. We met the other half of the riders about an hour away, and then continued on the route through mostly mountains to the beach on the opposite coast. The total distance was around 450 km each way (275 miles), 900km (550 miles) total. The scenery was amazing and the roads were 90%wicked twisites with just a couple short runs on the highway. The GPS was having trouble keeping up with all the direction changes on most of the roads. The weather stayed right around 70 degreeswith clear skies. The bikes were: (my) '05 CBR1000rr, '06 CBR1000rr, Honda Magna 750, '07 Hyosung GT650R, BMW F 650.We kept up a very brisk pace but still only managed an average speed of 46mph according to the GPS databecause of the amount of corners (the GPS was on the Hyosung or it would have readover 150 mph max speed). It was getting dark when we reached the last 55 km stretch to our destination, but it turned out to be the curviest part of the trip with over 150 corners. Exhausted, we arrived at about 7:30 pm,ate a big dinner and found a seaside bedless-hotel (min-bok in Korean). We got a room for about $8 US each. We hada few drinks on the beach, slept on the floor, then woke up really stiff and had a great morning swim in the sea. The water was clear and blue, and suprisingly a decent temperature for swimming. We had a light breakfast and hit the road at about 11:30.The trip back went a bit smoother, we knew the route better (took 2 wrong turns on the way there and had to re-plan the route). We got back just before dark at around 6:30. I wish I would have had more time to stop and take pictures, the scenery was indescribable. The RouteName: TripMap.jpg

Looks great, I lived there for a year, I wish I had a bike there.....I rented a scooter a few times not quite as fun. The sights are really quite breathtaking.

I try to stay as far ahead of them as possible! I hate driving here, but riding isn't so bad. Just head to the front, blow the light, and the road is all yours
