my club is doing it again,
last trip to livigno 2011 was a great success, and we've decided to do it again,, more passes, more mountains.


like last time:
bikes are going via lorry to Geneva
we get off the plane to ride 310 miles(500k) to Livigno.
then daily ride outs of approx 180miles(290k) staying at base camp.
last time we rode the 310m back to the trucks, when we got a breakdown and a puncture.
so this time we are heading back 200m approx to an overnight stay in a wee b&b somewhere nice, to reduce the risk of breakdown's effecting the trucks setting off on time.
last day 110m to our last stay just on the swiss side of Geneva to book in for our last night and load the trucks.
as they head off, we will enjoy a bike free night on the town, which was one big pub crawl last time.
and yes i said trucks, last time we loaded one, this time, 3 .
which, as far as i know, is fully booked in under a week.

right need some help, who's been out there?

{1} from Livigno (daily) i'm looking a couple or more confirmed routes for a day out, one or two are mandatory like STELVIO,, pah! again. at about the 140-170mile range depending on the pace of the route, and scenery.
if you have any links or pic's, i would be grateful.

{2} and on route home, a decent, cheap, and bike friendly parking (secure) for a night over on our way back to Geneva.

{3} a list of names of who is jealous

 

Corvara in the Italian Tyrol to Stelvio is a fantastic ride - over three passes like this.

Cheers SB, last time i was there, i didn't take note of the passes, but I'll try to find out and put up a list.
Meantime, keep them coming.
