This is the place I'm thinking of staying at

Also, 1 1/2 days for Dragon / Skyway sounds about right. Skyway takes about half the day for one loop, Dragon for half a day which should give you about 3 round trips @ 30 minutes one way, then half a day for other stuff

I'm definitely interested in hitting up Barber Museum again (haven't been there in 4-5 years). Trying to think out loud... leave on 10/1... get to DC area late night 10/1, meet Skyline 10/2...get home sometime around the 14th...as long I as I can get my tires changed @ deals gap I should be good.

I like both Malbojah's Philips Motel and Sprock's Caney Creek. Tellico plains was a good location for us in the spring. Robbinsville is closer to the Dragon. So six of one...
To me it's important that we all stay at the same location, to that end we will need to firm up head counts, days on site, and location preferred.
I see us arrive in Robbinsville/Tellico mid-day Oct 5th. Stay there the 5th and 6th, Tues./Wed. and head for Barber on the 7th, Thurs. Dinner in Birmingham Thus. night and Barber all day 8th and 9th,Fri/Sat. On the 10th head home.
For those on the whole run, we have one night at Front Royal, VA, two single nights on the BRP. Two at Dragon area and three more in Birmingham.
Indy, this is your thread, and everyones ride, I just think we need to get together on some of these details to make the best of it.

Hey if there are already people staying at Hunt's, there is a KOA in Tellico that has cabins etc. It's a nice place, not too pricey etc. How about that as an alternative?
Also, you cna do a loop of the Skyway to Tellico, then loop back around to the top of Deal's and back to the Crossroads of Time in a morning before lunch no sweat.
