thank god racing is finally here! it's been too long! and i love that the picture quality has gotten better

what a race for race 1. it was great to see kawi on pole (even though he finished 4th), and i can't believe the highside checa had. holy god that was awful. but he sure did get right up. thank god for that. biaggi is just soo damn fast on that aprilia. i think he got 325km/h in just the first few laps. that's moving. it was great for melandri to get 2nd on the beemer. i didn't realize laverty was injured and i didn't realize chaz davies was in superbike now!

i loved the new scheme for the honda and the aprilia.

the honda looked like dog**** in the first race... but alright in race 2. i wonder what the change was? but still..... i think they should have had a bigger change for '12. i mean, i doubt any of those updates were realized by rae (minus the ride by wire). did anyone see that epic slide with 3 laps to go in race 2?

the beemer has been really improved. kinda sad to not see troy there though... i mean, it was kind of his baby and all

as far as race 2, i can't believe checa rode the bike let alone commanded the lead and win. and biaggi - holy hell... i think he probably needed to change his undies after that run off.... and then to come all the way back to finish 2nd, wow! too bad honda couldnt get the podium in race 2? and how about haslam finishing 5th with a broken leg.

thank god racing is back

I think Honda needs to give the bike more power. It seems to do well in the corners, but lacks top in speed.

well, they are definitely not all the way there on power. the motor is the same. at least they got ride by wire. johnny rea is a really good racer, so lets hope they do something with him next year.

come on! tell me you guys watched donnington. both races were fantastic. that was some of the best racing i've seen in a long time.

and how bout that finish in race 2!? i don't think johnny rea was at fault at all. marco melandri caused that incident because he dived on the inside so early from so far back that it caused leon haslam to take a wider line through that last corner. johnny stuck it in there on the inside line and i feel that leon tried to regain that tighter line and that's why they came together.

what are your guys' thoughts?

hell ya honda! great win! it sucks that it had to end with leon pushing the bike across the line, but the silver lining is that bmw did get a win in race one, which is a huge accomplishment. and no one got hurt.

Theres confirmation that Spies is going to WSB next year with BMW as Melandri's team mate. Also theres confirmation that Dovi is talking with Honda and Team Ten to be Rea's team mate in WSB. Wow it could mean Tech 3 may need riders.lol

i knew about spies, didn't see dovi doing that though. i mean, that's a real shocker. that would be nuts.

To corect myself. Dovi is in talks with Honda with no mention of Rea. There is rumor that Rea is talking with Honda in a satlelite ride...possible Gresini. Man this is getting crazy this year.lol

you know, when i originally read your post, i remembered steve martin talking during one of the broadcasts about a rider (who's name i couldn't remember) possibly being in GP next year, but i didn't say anything because i couldn't really remember who, but ya, now that you mention rea being that guy, i remember (vaguely) steve martin saying something about that. wow, dovi moving to superbike and rea moving up to GP would be crazy, but i do think johnny rea is a great rider and he's tough as hell (did you see that bad crash he unfortunately had in race 1 at brno, but came back and raced in race 2?!).

there's going to be some VERY big names in WSBK next year. checa, biaggi, spies, dovi (possibly), etc.
