Rossi maybe a 2 wheel champion but the rumors of him going to F1 so far are just that, rumors. Especially with Ferrari, Schumacher needless to say is staying and with Barachello going to BAR that opens up a spot for Massa which has been a test driver for Ferrari. Id be VERY surprised if they put Rossi into a Ferrari slot for 2007. Rossi moving to F1 would be a mistake anyways, F1 is so cut throat, teams will cut even champions out of the F1 loop for having less than successful consecutive years even if a champion has helped develop a car for several seasons Villenueve and BAR is a prime example.

 

I have read that Rossi is actually more interested in rally racing, that's where his passion is anyway, quoted by Rossie himself. He was insulted when one of the higher ups at Ferrari insinuated that he will be racing F1 for Ferrari in 07. Rossi has the type of personality that will cause him to go rally instead of F1 just to prove the guy wrong, its not like he needs the money.

Reading the article is sounded like Rossi likes rally racing better then Moto GP. The article also said that he is talking to Ford and has played around with their raced out Focus.

Rumors? Only time will tell.

 

I think he would be more happy in WRC anyways, its definitely more competitive!
