Keiths Codes books are good, but I liked the book "sport riding techniques" by Nick Ianasomething

http://www.amazon.com/Sport-Riding-T...326408-8553564

It geared a little more to street riding ratherthan just track instructions
I just finished reading Sport Riding Techniques & really thought it was a good book. I haven't read Keith Code's book, but would totally agree Nick Ienatschbook cover all aspects of sport bike riding

I had a 1/2' left for the longest time and I finally said ok...F-this, this bike can do better than that! so I just kept doing more laps around the clover leaf and just stayed smooth and gave her a Liiiiiiittle moooore and just stuck to my lines and I'll be damned...I'm down to 1/8 [sm=wootwoot.gif]
Now I've got to get some input on tire pressures before this season comes around so I can continue my quest. and yes, I'm learning on the streets as well. smart? no, not at all. cheaper than the track? well, for right now it is until I high side down the embankment or go shooting across the median into on-coming traffic! then, if I'm able, I'll really put some more thought into the track. but, at least 1 of the chicken strips will be gone at that point right!

I am really starting to feel much more comfortable in turns now but I would like to be able to use all of the tire. Any suggestion?
I've had the opportunity to ride several times with an ol racer from the 80s on some amazing roads in Arkansas and he's one of the fast guys and he has 1/2" chicken strips... But then again he's from Arkansas and knows them roads like the back of his hand...

Oh, and go to the track if you are determined to go fast...
