Back tire wobble

Back tire wobble
I just had a question. My cousin crashed his bike about two weeks ago now and I was right behind him. We were at least doing about 100. When we entered a curve, I guess he was going faster than he would have liked. So, he rolled off the throttle. At that point, I saw the back tire start wobbling. He gassed it and the bike stood straight up. (At that point, I thought he should have continued on the throttle and get a good lean.) But, he rolled off again and then back tire started wobbling again. And off into the median, where he was tossed like a rag doll. The good news is, he only dislocated his wrist and that was it. He literally walked away from the crash.
So my question is, what could he have done differently?? Like I said, I thought he should have stayed on the throttle and leaned hard.
Please move this thread if this is not the appropriate group. Thx

Droping the throttle or gassing mid turn is a very bad thing to do and it will normally upset the bike, unless you do it very smoothly. Thats how I laid mine down when i was a super newb, now im just a newb but I know better. You guys need to get on the track and take turns at 120, then the streets will seem boring and you wont want to go soo fast. Glad everyone is safe!

Thanks for the replies .... and I know Zero1080, we shouldn't be moving that fast and (not making an excuse ...but) we ride with a few guys that flat out crush that speed!!! Neither here or there ...but I went to the race track for the first time ever this weekend.... and I'm looking to sign up ... hopefully, I'll get a nice father's day present!!
