Increasing / Decreasing radius turns

Increasing radius turns are fun. The bike has a tendency to drift to the outside of a turn as you give it more throttle so it feels like you can accelerate harder through those. Decreasing radius turns are the ones that can get you into trouble before you know it. When you know the turn is the decreasing radius variety you set your entry speed a little slower than what would normally feel right, a little trail braking helps. You don't want to climb on the brakes too hard though as that will tend to stand the bike up causing you to run wide in the turn. I think decreasing radius turns are one of the best reasons not to ride ***** to the wall on a road you aren't familiar with. I'm sure some of our track day veterans can give some better tips. I'm only speaking from my experience on public roads.

always be ready for the decreasing radius on turns you are not familiar with, but other than that i cant say much more. i remember a certain mountain pass that was filled with them out west. It slowed my cornering down alot because you don't know if all of a sudden the road is going to tighten around the mountain side.
