I prefer the longer gauntlet gloves, Alpinestars GP Plus, to the short gloves. They offer more protection since there's less risk of exposing the skin between the glove and jacket sleeve in a crash. I've crash tested, both high and low speeds, the Alpinestars GP Plus; they work very well.

 

I prefer the long type too, they fit better with a jacket, whats all this about shorter gloves in summer? Your not saying the extra 3-4 inch`s of leather above the wrist makes you hot?

THE STINK GLOVE...

i'm hardcore...i gear up everytime i'm commuting or going far, or hardcore...i gear up completely...but for short weekend journeys to friends house, just without the track pants...but always...my super duper thugged out customed astart gp plus cause i'm hardcore like that...if it's too hot to gear up, then it's too hot to ride.
and as always, nothing icon...buahhhahhha...

i wear long gloves year round. i like the added cover. and they dont dont feel that much hotter if you get a good pair with ventalation.
i wear the dainise hellracer. its a great glove but costs about $165.

 

i recently changed my gloves from thugged out astars to boxing gloves made by title boxing...they have more padding in them.
