I wouldn't buy a used helmet. The helmet will shape towards the contours of the original owner's head shape. When somebody else wears it, it may shape the inside differently. Thus, it may compromise the structural integrity and safety....but hey, it's your head.

Ahhhhh, the age old debate: Buying used OR buying from eBay (new or used). Lots of riders will say "Don't do it." Some of us will say "Just be careful and know exactly what you're buying."

Truth is, it's not that different than buying a used bike IMO:You never know what the previous owner did to it. The seller could lie his *** off and tell you it's "tip-top" and you end up buying a lemon - if you don't know what you're looking for.

Personally I would never sell a helmet of mine that was damaged or compromised. I aman ethical person and have more integritythan that - but not everyone has the same morals. So, if you trust the seller and believe that he wouldn't screw you over... then why not buy it?

hey this is rightthis is what they tell you when you buy a new one.

a used one would work just fine at a slow speed crash or a fall but, that a-hole that rips through the stop light and hits you at full speed will make the needed differance when your head hits the car or street
