Default Thinking about an Arai

I am looking at getting a new helmet and I am thinking of getting an Arai. I had a Shoie X11 but I want to try an Arai. I have never picked on up, and I was wondering how easy it is to change the shields in and out.

Not as easy as your X-11, that's for sure. But Arai makes such a great helmet, taking a little extra time with the sidepods isn't much of a hassle. I actually just keep a dark visor on my X-11 and a clear visor on the RX-7 and switch off, depending on the time of day.

Great helmets, love wearing them. Try them on first, each model (RX-7, Quantum, Profile, Vector) has slightly differing shapes to accomodate different heads.

Changing visors was really odd at first till I got the hang of it and now it's a breeze. I still think it's a funky system but it works.

Great helmet and worth investing in for sure.
