suits
if you're doing track all the time and canyon carving...1 pc....otherwise, 2 pc suit or pants and jacket that zipper up together.
Roo hide is best, light weight, durable, thinner, comfy, etc. but it doesn't stretch and costs more...cow hide stretches, etc. and offers great protection, but much bulker (thicker) and heavier. whatever suit you buy, make sure it's snug. cowhide can be very snug and then you stretch to fit.
just remember any loose spots in your suit will act like a belt sander against your skin if you ever take a spill.
as for quality, you get what you pay for, more or less. daineseis great stuff but also costs a lot. they do have some not so great stuff so be careful.
a good all around choice would be alpinestars...but make sure you try on at a store before purchasing...and remember...if you feel ok in your suit when you first put it on, it's not the right size! you should be annoyed and not very comfy at all...and as you break it in to fit your body...except roo hide...just snug when you first get in.
