Fox Racing is the parent company - they're having to close the Shift sub-brand. Fox Racing isn't going anywhere.

Fox wanted to get into the stunt-street riding game, but didn't want to risk the stunter crowd avoiding the Fox name due to thinking the moto-x brand was just wanting to cash in. So shift was born to give them something of their own.

You'd have to see the financials to see how well the brand was doing to determine if Fox will now bring in street/stunt gear under its own name, or under a different brand to replace Shift's market share.

Considering how well Icon and a-stars does in these markets, I'd guess Fox might be ready to brand their own lines now.

This is interesting news. Shame there has to be so much litigation over even a perceived variation of a trademarked name.

Fox could spin this in a good way & get some good mileage (pardon the pun) out of the situation by initiating a relaunch under a new name.

Maybe they could drop the "f" and change the "i" to a "1" and re-launch that way. I'd be very amused if someone claimed that their brand name was too similar then.

But regardless of what happens, Shift gear is getting marked down to clear stock. So there are some bargains out there. I grabbed 4 pairs of the Torque jeans
is there a big difference between the shift torque jeans and the **** lowdown jeans? besides about 20 bucks lol

sorry for bringing up old thread but i am thinking about trying a pair of one of these...i usually just wear regular ol jeans
