Default Shift Racing out of business

While I was at Revzilla, I was looking over the guy's shoulder and saw Shift Torque Jeans for $69.99. Normally they're $99 so I asked what was up. Shift is out of business and they're discontinuing all their gear. It's unknown if Fox Racing will rebrand under another name.

But regardless of what happens, Shift gear is getting marked down to clear stock. So there are some bargains out there. I grabbed 4 pairs of the Torque jeans

Thanks for the info. Shift gears never fit me, but I like Fox's bomber gloves. I better stock up

Shift is a branding of Fox Racing. From what I can tell they lost a trademark infringement lawsuit forcing the closing of the Shift Apparel division. While I can't find any press release confirming it, the sales guy at Revzilla said they're dumping all their Shift gear as it's being discontinued
Shift Racing - RevZilla

And apparently so are others: Motorcycle Superstore - Search

Couple other forums are also reporting the same.

Dunno why the sudden cause. But I am seeing a fair amount of their products down 30% - 50% off.

I heard about this on StuntRide a month or two ago. Essentially Shift's name is very much like the European company Swift so instead of Fox really fighting it out to keep the line, they decided to drop it all together. It really pissed off a lot of people in the stunt community as Shift was one of the brands who embraced the sport.

Bought my obnoxious one-piece Shift suit after it went on clearance for over 40% off.

It is a shame to see they are closing the brand name down because of legal issues, but Fox Racing itself is NOT in trouble, and I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with another line of street gear down the road.
