I have a set of Icon Barrier jeans. I won't wear them anymore since I got leather pants but they did really well on some very cold nights. I think that you should invest in some heated gear if you're going to be riding consistantly in the cold. I usually make a cut off at 35*. My leather pants are not perforated, but the cold eventually makes everything you're wearing cold. That's why heaters are great.

I just ordered a pair of Icon Barrier jeans 2 days ago. They are not being made anymore so every site is selling them as closeouts. Picked em up for $59 with free shipping. All you really need is something to block the wind well and something for insulation. According to reviews those barrier jeans do both. I have polypropylene thermals to wear under that for even more warmth. Still waiting for the jeans to find out how well they work.
