I have 3 or 4 different brands and honestly I don't trust them. If you use some sort of knee protection and proper boots of course you get a *level* of protection above jeans but don't expect them to hold up in an aggressive slide or get-off.

True enough. The JR jeans at least have pockets for optional built in CE armor, and i kinda like the look of them vs Icon's as well.

Adding CE definitely helps. I know there are times where it's just not feasible to wear leather pants, I have the jeans for that reason.

Honestly, imo don't waste your money on motorcycle jeans. Just wear regular jeans if your hellbound on wearing jeans and wear leg/shin armor underneath.

Read my post about motorcylce jeans and save yourself the money. I just wear my regular ones now after I saw how "motorcycle" jeans held up.

I've heard good things about the draggin jeans but the cost is astronomical unless they've had reductions lately.

It's very possible my jeans were not of the quality that the Draggin jeans are so that's one thing to consider. Draggin jeans are another $30-40 I believe.
