+1.

I take it you've never crashed in regular jeans before? Yes, they are worth buying (preferably the ones with armored panels sewn in) Leathers are even better (but unbearable during the summer months). I have a pair of textile riding pants for the summer, leather for the cooler months.

I wear textile protected pants, but lately I've also been checking out the Defenders from www.gusset.com
Anyone experience this product?
Any other riders jeans out there worth mentioning?

Hi Sean,
That was my next thought. I've seen riding jeans with reinforced kevlar, but not with padding. Are there pads out there that mate up well with my riding boots (Sidi)? The knee pads I've seen adverstised always seem to combine with shin protectors too, which would interfere with the shin protector on the Sidis (by the looks of it).

I think it's all depends on how big are your calves...
I wear THOR motocross knee pads with shin guards...they do not interfere with my alpinestars...I would also recommend a Tpro armour pants...
thing with gears is you really gotta try it on...
