Default Which riding boot?

The possibilities are:

AXO Primato Sport Boots cost $140

Alpinestars S-MX 5 Boots price $220

Sidi B-2 Boots price $235

The Axo's are more in my price range but I don't want to loose protection or quality. The B2's and Smx 5's are higher priced but more name brand, also would the Sidi Vertigo Boots be a worthy upgrade from the B2's?

Thanks, I hope you can help.

I wanted a pair of B-2s for a long time, but I went with a set of TCX SS Performance 2's instead. $179 Comfortable enough to walk around school all day, yet plenty of protection for street use without being all racer flash. Still Italian, just made in Romania or somewhere. The Vertigos are excellent, but way too much boot, IMO, unless you're doing track time. I just read a review of the new Vortice, Motorcyclist if I remember, and they liked it because it does not have the same gaudy oversized heel protection that keeps bumping into bike parts, like on the Vertigo...

I'll tell you what, if your just lookin for some good riding boots for the street and dont want to get all too flashy...check out the THOR 50/50s. I have a pair and they are so dam comfortable and durable and they'll give decent protection should I go down. check them out, they only go just above your ankles and they're only $100

I think your onto something with these Thor 50/50 boots. I didn`t think low cut motocross boots would be desirable, but these things look good and sturdy. Looks like they would be just right for some street/sport commuting and walking in for those long school days.

Hey, Dragginazz, how is the fit? Is it true to size (as in compared to regular sneakers), a little big, or a little small?

Thanks.

These things fit like sneakers they are so comfortable, they're not too stiff and fit under the shifter perfect. I usually wear size 10.5 so I got the 11s...perfect, so yeah go a size bigger just for insurance cause you won't be able to tell they are bigger. highly recommended if your just the jeans and jacket, gloves and helmet kind of rider like most, ya know? I think I paid like 108 at the Honda shop last year but I'm sure you can probably find some online for around 89 these days. good luck!

Thanks for the info.

These boots will probably be my next because I was trying to get different advise on what to buy because I have the AGV Sebring 2 sport boots (http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/AGV_Sport_Sebring_2_Boots601253.html) and they are calf high racing boots. They were my first pair and I didn`t know that they would not make for a good commuting/walking around in boot on days that I commute to school and when I am there all day.

Here is the other thread that I started and as you can see, many different recommendations:
