Just bought a new riding jacket from "Draggin jeans" it's all leather called the "barracuda". w/ upgraded armour of a multi-denisty foam surrounding a hony comb polymer core. you can see a pic of it on my "gallery". I don't have leathers so I don't know but I did not want to leave you hanging out there. People still care....

Hmmm I just bought a new Spidi Jacket and it seems kinda of stiff. Its leather as well. I remember when I bought a leather Racing suit it was reeallllly stiff but after about a week of riding it broke in and got a little bigger. (meaning that it stretched out) I have difficulty opening the side pockets on my new jacket. because the leather is too stiff,

Yeah the leather will "break in" & loosen up as you wear it more often

Well I don't have a leather jacket but my Icon gloves are leather and at first they were a little too snug for me. After wearing them quite a few times, they've loosened up very nicely and I'm glad I didn't return them for a larger size. So I think that once you wear it a little more and get it out in the sunshine the leather will stretch a bit.

My $0.02.

It's the same with all leather products, they start off stiff and loosen up once they are broken it, so you'd do as well to wear it around the house for a bit while you're not on the bike. It's the same as when you break a pair of leather boots in. My leather gloves were the same, started out stiff, but after a while they become comfy as its just leather for you.

All jackets (even mesh) will require some break-in period, but espescially leather. When we got our new leathers at Christmas, we would just sit around in the living room watching TV or whatever, wearing them. Same with boots, gloves and helmets. Better to break them in in the comfort of your own home than to make yourself uncomfortable while you're riding.
