Its best to try a few brands on in a store, so you know which ones fit your head the best. Comfort and safety are the important things. Arai and Shoei are the best brands from what I have heard. I have an HJC which is OK, but I tried an Arai recently and the first is far better, so that is now on my shopping list.

the HJC and KBC are the best helmets you have listed there. I don't have any use with the Scorpians but I hear good things.

Shoei RF-1000 is what I have, and I like it... although it was kinda expensive.

cheaper helmets are typically heavier and well cheap! you might save a few bucks but when your neck and sh**t starts hurting from holding up this bowling ball on your head all day you will wish you spent the extra dough!! cheaper helmets are usually noisier too. those two things combined will make you not even wanna ride.

I have a Shoei X-11 (Bostrom Rep)...love that HELMET. Arai, Shoei, Suomy, AGV, Shark, etc., are all good HELMETS. This topic's been discussed many, many times on here...and when it comes to HELMETS, you get what you pay for!

Just make sure that whatever helmet you buy (especially the ones you can get on sale) aren't nearing the end of their shelf life. Apparently, helmets have a 5 yearspan that they can be used (safely),and included in the 5 years is the time they spend sitting on the shelf at the dealership. I think it's something about the way the foam insidebreaks down.

Another thing to consider is the amount of vents.
