Oh wait sorry I mistook your ad for another.

Your helmet was much different than the one I wanted.

I went to buy a new helmet back in May and I was set on the Shoei Qwest until the pretty girl talked me in to the GT air. Wonder if she makes commission lol. All honesty though I tried on about 10 different helmets (Shoei,Agv, Scorpian) and the one I picked was the one that was the most comfortable. There are a lot of great helmets out there for under $300. My advice: try them all!

Went and tried on some Shoei's, Scorps, Arai's and icons today. To me, the arai was the comfiest, but the most $$. Best I found for both worlds was the Exo-1100 kranium. $240... not too bad

Yeah, I changed my mind. I'm gonna go to a shop and try them on and then find it cheap online and buy it there lol

I've been riding with Shoei and Arai for the last 10 years. I believe they are the best out there.

However, I recently bought an Icon Airmada for my commuting work. I have to say this helmet is extremely high quality given the price. This fits very close to my Shoei RF-1000 and it has more ventilation. The price tag is $180. I highly HIGHLY recommend it for anyone looking for a helmet for the day-to-day ride.

Only issue I have is with the shield closed and locked, I get a whistle. I can't seem to pinpoint where it is but I can hear it at 55-60 mph and higher. Still, for the price, it's my go-to helmet for the commuting duties of my CB.

Do you think it's a flaw with the helmet, or just with your helmet?

Not too sure actually. I do have a chatterbox X1 Slim installed on my helmet which doesn't help with quieting anything down. I haven't heard from anyone else that it has a whistle and I was recommended this helmet by a friend involved with Hell for Leather/RideApart.

Awesome.

Well, I really wanna try to keep airflow out because my hearing is already pretty bad from music.

I wound up buying a Shoei off a friend who never used the helmet but a couple times because he sold his bike.

I love it.
