Juggling betwen helmets
Well, I made the buy. There was a few choices that I was struggling with, the first one was a Nolan N103 that was on sale, but there was only two left, a jet black and a signal yellow one. When the seller told me it was a model that was for sale only for one season I backed out, don`t want to spend several hundreds of euros to a helmet only to find out I cannot get a spare visor the next summer...
I tried all the possibilities there was, but ended up with this:

The N90. While I was at it, I also bought another visor with a mirror finish, and a pinlock to that too...

...and since I got into spending, I got an N-com system into it too with a connecting cable to my Nokia E7 phone.
Didn`t have a chance to test it yet today cause it was pouring water the whole day, if the weather clears up even a bit I`m going to work by bike tomorrow to test it. The shop didn`t have the cable in the shelf, but they promised to send it to me via mail this week. Gotta say it was a royal PITA to fit the system into the helmet but now that it is in there and as soon as I get the cable, I just have to plug in and go, no more awkward ear plugs that never stay in place... So far I`m really pleased with the setup, although the total cost for the helmet, additional visor+pinlock and the N-com system was around 450 euros which was way past what I was planning to spend, but if it would get me through another 12 years or so like the Airoh I guess it will have plenty chances to pay itself back... After all that model is something I have been drooling after for a looong time...

^ Thanx man, that silver visor really gives it the needed flare, one of the reasons I got a silver helmet, almost went for the matt black version, but when I found out they had those visors the decision was easy. I got to test it the first time today, even though it WAS raining pretty heavily in the morning, but I figured I got a good chance to test the pinlock-system too, and it really works! Ican`t get the visor to fog up even if I`d try. I juggled between XL and XXL sizes for a long time cause the smaller one was pressing against my forehead pretty badly, but the larger one was clearly too big as it was wobbling all over the place when I shook my head, so I went for the Xl, and it proved to be the right choice, it was pressing some on my way to work, but felt a whole lot better on the way back, so I guess when it molds up to my head after a while it`s gonna be a perfect fit. This is the first truly good quality helmet I`ve ever had, and I have to admit it really stung me coughing up the price, but after only a hundred miles I now understand why it was so expensive: this and my old Airoh are worlds apart, there was a whole new level of comfort added to the riding altogether. There`s just no comparison between them, the Airoh that I used to keep as a good helmet now feels like a cheap 50 buck moped helmet...I really like the snap-on visor, takes just a few seconds and no tools to get it off the helmet for cleaning/swapping to the clear one, and seems someone in the product developement has actually put riding gloves on and tested can the various switches and levers be operated with them... The only thing that takes a bit of practice is the mask locking system, there is a lever on the left side that releases the mask when locked open, and it doesn`t stay up if not locked, but I guess when I get used to the lever it`s a no brainer... The only thing that gets a minus from me is when the mask IS up, it stays more in front of the helmet rather than above it thus pushing my neck forward because of the center of balance is off. I have to take the insides out once more, because the wind and cold is getting into my left ear so I guess something didn`t go 100% in place when I fitted the N-com system... The mic is also a bit aggravating so I`m propably gonna ditch that too since I`d have to stop anyway to answer if my phone rings, but all and all I couldn`t be more pleased with it, after all this IS something I have been drooling after for several years...
