Icon gears are for street riding only. I use them if I just want to ride - but, if I want to ride harder I use aplinestar gears( leathers).

I think we need a crash test dummy to verify some of the riding gear that's out. Who wants to test the Icon gear out.Don't all raise your hands at once.

I love it.. I dropped my old bike and the jacket did great and I still wear it. Minimal scuffs on jacket andit saved a lot of skin.

no need for the test dummy...my buddy did it...with textile and jeans...it was the rolling kinda of fall...textile ripped...pants did ok, but it was at 25mph and more of the rolling type than slide. if it was a slide...lots of skin gone.

someone else local posted about the seams on the leather jackets coming apart when the rolled. i wouldn't go with any company that doesn't design stuff for the track...but that's just me.

+1 i agree. leather is great.my buddy laid his bike down HARD! not a scratch on him and the jacket was minimally scratched and it was leather, my textile would have been in shreds after that fall..

---was drag racing and had a broken shift lever, went for 2nd and it didnt shift but he thought it did and popped the clutch and romped on it. bike came up REALLY fast and went over the bike went about 100 yards on its side and he slid about 30 yards... but he walked away! gotta love good gear...

his shoes even came off! no BS![sm=owned.gif] (if you listen to dane cook that is F'ing funny..)

ahhaha...shoes always come off during a fall...unless you have riding boots or something else that goes well over the ankles.
