So I'm currently in the market for a jacket but don't know what to buy. My friend who works at the accessories at our local dealership showed me this new jacket from icon. Its 290 and just want to know. Is it worth it or is it just like others just new. It has striker tech incorporated into it which is nice but is it needed? What do you guys use? What do you recommend. I'd like icon and blue/white to match the rest of my gear. Let me know thanks.

I am looking for a jacket. Icon preferably just to match the rest of my gear. (some of us are weird like that). Would be interested in other brands too.
What do you guys use for jackets? would like to get one asap but am kind of clueless.
I've heard get the best you can afford, I've also heard its ok to be cheap just not terribly cheap.

ICON rocks! street riding.....Jacket is great, denim a bit tight after few washes though but none the less is great gear.

Like above Chrisb319 said, leather or textile....? I own both...mesh/textile for summer hot, leather for cooler weather.

I've purchase one used/like new conditions on eBay also but seller selling because wrong size. You just have to shop around for deal.

 

I've got an Icon Daytona jacket that's been great. I had a issue w/a single broken snap button & Icon's customer service replaced the entire jacket! You can't beat that. Quality is excellent.

 

IDK but for me $290 = textile seems high.

I rather shop around and score a leather jacket. Though you see some Daytona/ Overload leather going for $400-$500...

Sometimes the correct size & seller circumstances will score you a nice one for $200 or so...I've seem on eBay Icon leather jacket final bid end at like $210-$220...and jacket is new...some used a few time for even less...I think each individual is different, for me, I like to wait and buy when opportunity shows...and it does sometimes....

If you watch my moonwalk video...the Overlord jacket I purchase NEW on eBay for $230 shipping! Big score! But eBay has it's risk, but whn you pay using Paypal, it's protected so if item is not as described, return it...

 

That was my thought. 290 was really expensive when I think you could get away with much cheaper.. but also that jacket seem pretty impressive which I think the price reflects greatly.
