How would you guys rate suomy? They are expensive. I am considering buying a vandal and they are around $400. Claims to be the lightest at 1250 grams and have sound absorbing polymers. My main questions are for anyone that has a suomy how do they do with wind noise? Somewhat quieter? Def quieter? Anyones ever whistle? And how do they fit? I mean eveyone got a different size/shape head/face but overall some helments fit nice and snug for most and some are loose. I read you can change out the cheek pads to customize your fit even better.

You can change pads to make a diff. the shell sizes change from xxl and xl. You can also use an Icon chin wind guard on this helmet to help noise. These are light helmets, but NOT quiet by any means.

 

I have a vandal pin-up. I love the comfort, ease of shield change and style of the helmet.. BUT it is not quiet, I actually have a Zox that is quieter.

 

Suomy is up there in my book. I own a Spec 1r

Love it, Everything is hand stitched, and hand painted.
They are the same level as Arai, if that means anything to you

i would compare the spec1r to the arai rx-7 cosair, and the Shoei X-11

Suomy is BSI certified not Snell. You should read up on it. Huge difference.
