Default Which boots?

I'm really torn between the two. Not sure one one to get.
I will be using these for daily riding and commute to work/school. I will probably be doing a good bit of walking in these so that is a factor I'm looking at also.
I like the styling of the One-O-One boot and it looks like they would be more comfortable to walk in.
The Ridge boot looks like it gives more protection but would be less comfortable to walk in.
There are the same price at about $110.

I'm also open to other options and opinions. Thanks for your comments and time!

There is always going to be trade off between fashion, comfort, and safety. I didn't vote cause I didn't really care for either of them but you do you.
EDIT: O.k. so I went and voted. I chose fashion. The one on one looks better than the guloshes.

the 1on1's look better but it depends what kind of weather you are riding in. If you plan on riding in the rain at all the ridge's are better since they have the waterproof inner bootie. All depends on your needs. If i was to buy a shoe like that though I personally would go with the octane's. Although if I picked anything from alpinestar it would be the SMX-R's for street riding.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I'm not planning to use them for riding in the rain particularly so them actually being waterproof isn't a high priority to me.
Hmmm, well I'll keep looking. I'm sure I'll decide/find something soon enough.

I second the police/EMS boots.

I've been an EMT for years and they make some great boots and some look pretty good. I have Danners which are really well made but its hard to feel the gears...so i'm going with a "softer" boot.

Look at some of the EMS/Police websites, LOTS of boots to choose from.

Look at the Alpinestars SMX-4 boots. Thats what I have and they are comfortable enough to walk around in plus give you good protection.
