Best helmet for riding on highways?

RE: Best helmet for riding on highways?
No it's not. Truth be told, I don't place much emphasis on SNELL anyhow. Are you up on the whole debacle between them and the article 2 years ago about their testing? They just recently acknowledged that there was some credibility to the article and decided to change their standards. SNELLM2005 is actually a LESS safe helmet. Go for BCE or ECE. Ensure the helmet is DOT.
Dont' get me wrong, my EXO700 is SNELL, but it has now become mostly marketing hype for manufacturers. I hear the 2008 standard will be worth it, though.

I do like my ex1000 alot. It is a little heavy but it also feels safer if that makes sense. Good looks and all the vents and face pump ect I think is a great buy. Kind of like a 1k vs a 600 to me I feel like I can relax more with the feel of stability. Just my feel>

i've heard that when you shake your head the helmet shouldn't slip at all. i have an x-large and it's too big for me. it felt great when i first got it, but now it's stretched out a little and noticeably roomy. i'm thinking of going w/ the large... so don't forget that it'll stretch out.
