Default best backpack for riding, or tankbag? in college, needs to hold a few books.

i trolled the forums and couldn't find what i was looking for. i am a college student and am in need of a new bag to use while riding my cycle. i want something i can easily ride with and also carry around school and keep about 3 normal sized books in. i would prefer a regular backpack but a tankbag would be fine too. i gotta have at least one shoulder strap so i can carry it easily.

i saw an ogio back pack but it looks too small and i saw that huge effin bag with arm straps and a vest in front and immediately said no to that one. way too bulky for what i need.

i have been looking all morning and can't find what i want and i know lots of times on this site i find a post about something i have never seen on the net before and its exactly what i was looking for. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

Why not a tail bag? I have a cortech sport tailbag that I used on my ninja 250. I test fitted it on my CBR and it seemed to fit fine.
I once maxed it out by openin up the side zippers and it swallowed up 2 binders, 4 file jackets with papers, 25 index cards, and 8 student composition notebooks. It is held on using 4 plastic bungee hooks and it has a rubber pad underneath it so that it wouldnt hurt the paint.

I have a pic of it. I will post it in a few. It also has a handle on it so if you take it off you can carry it with you.

Originally I was thinkin of a tankbag too. but then I thought it might get in the way a bit. I also used to wear a backpack to work sometimes.. but they can get heavy and really old really quick..

seems kinda small but i'll take ur word for it. does it have shoulder straps? i had my old bag on the back witha bungee net made for my bike. it slid around n bumped me all the time. how does this one do about moving around? i also saw ogio had a lifetime warranty on their bags. what about this one?

I use a Knox backpack, very comfortable on the bike. They are designed to be used on bikes so the weight sits very low.

i have the firstgear silverstone tail bag its big enough to put your helmet in.
held on with a velcro strap that goes around your seat and 4 bungees to strap around your has shoulder strap, carry handle and rain cover. i also use a rapid transit recon 19 magnetic tank bag i am very impressed with both pieces of my luggage

I just bought an Obus Form 40, it's got a strap across the chest keeping both shoulder straps together and one for you waist too.

I wear it to work all the time. I can get my shoes and a laptop inside.
It even stays put when you get to twisting the grip

I have a ACU bookbag with a kidney strap. It can hold quite a bit. A little bulky though, but it doesnt move.
