Default Not much happening yet!

Well no progress so far as I've been putting up flooring in the rafters and cupboards to get as much junk off the garage floor as possible so I now have space in the garage for both the bikes and I can move around them freely.

Couldn't do much to the rides this weekend as I'd been replacing my pads on the London hack and left my tools at the flat . But have given them a good look over and considering I bought one unseen it's not going to take much to get one back on the road. Front end swap and exhaust gaskets will probably get it through the MOT ??

I need to remove an old Hawk alarm but have been unable to track any instructions down on the net so far. I've attached a pic in case anyone recognises it?

Cut the red wire???

Did a quick search and came up with a few possibilities for you. Though I'm not sure what model you have.

http://www.comm-elec.pwp.blueyonder....n%20MANUAL.pdf

The others were all direst PDF downloads.

The search string I used was <remove hawk alarm from motorcycle>
(only the bold).

Give that a go and see if your model come up.

Good luck (and watch out for the blue wire)

Cheers, SB

SB thanks for the link, the diagram shows what appears to be the same?

There were no model numbers so that hasn't helped in trying to identify it. I'll give them a call and see if they can help.

If the PO hadn't lost the keys I'd leave it.

Most of you probably didn't know that Seb used to work as a bomb disposal technician in a former life.

Default Hawk removal

Managed to get the damn Hawk alarm out. Not a tidy job as all the wires were just cut into and spliced I'd of been happier if a proper connections had been used.

Felt like I was wrestling with a tapeworm sometimes.

I've removed all the old insulating tape and need to rewrap the harness with something more appropriate. Any of you got any suggestions?

you could use a wire loom but not sure how weather proof it is, heat shrink tube but you may have to take the connectors off, or you could try this tape.

Good find wheelnut I think I'll probably be buying a few items from them!
