my ride
That is cool as chit, man!
I'e seen these motors in go-carts and such, but never in a small car.
Very neat!
I have to ask how fast it goes... Also, do you have any pics of the dashboard? Is there an inside tach and speedo and stuff? Just wondering.

thanks all, she moves very well, about 1100 lbs so more weight to get going than a bike but no need to worry about flipping it on a wheelie when you mash the pedal to the floor.
answer: i used the gauge pod from a 1991 cbr, i cut off the upper row of dummy lights, wired in the instrument lights and the blinkers as well as the tach. i could wire in the speedo and calibrate it but the nifty little box that does this costs $450 so for right now i drove a couple standard speeds next to the wifes car so i know what the tach should read in what gear to get me 55, 30, 45, etc.
only issue i am having now is carbs, i fully rebuilt them and replaced a couple broken parts, they seem to run too lean with the k&n filters, the bike shop that was helping me adjusted the needles to be a little richer but it still drys up with fuel above 7500 rpm, any ideas from anyone about a new needle size? or what the fuel pressure should be at? i have it at 2lbs now. thanks, jim

cbr900rr do not measure fuel pressure on board because they don use a fuel pump, they gravity feed from the tank, but you might want to try to go up a couple sixes on the main jet if you are having problems in the 7500 rpm range then i would go up 2 to 3 sizes and see what that does for you
